An award-winning classical guitarist from Zagreb, Croatia. He started studying
guitar at a young age under the tuition of Xhevdet Sahatxhija, and graduated from the Zagreb
Academy of Music in the class of Darko Petrinjak, spending one year on a student exchange
programme at the École Supérieure Musique et Danse Hauts-de-France, Lille with Judicaël
Perroy. He then specialised in music performance at the Haute école de musique de Genève,
where he again studied with Judicaël Perroy.

Peretić is regarded as one of the leading guitarists of the younger generation, and has won
numerous prestigious international guitar competitions, including the Guitar Foundation of
America (GFA), EuroStrings Guitar Competition and Changsha International Guitar
Competition.
As the winner of the 2022 GFA competition, as well as recording this album he will undertake an
extensive concert tour across the United States and Canada in 2023 and 2024. Peretić regularly performs as a soloist, with orchestra, as well as in various chamber music groups including the guitar trio Evocación,
which recently released its self-titled debut album.
