-

-

-
Collecting and maintaining donated instruments
-
Procuring texts and materials for the Outreach Program

PLAY IT FORWARD
As students faced remote learning during the pandemic, LGS started a fundraiser called “Play It Forward,” which helped provide guitars and musical equipment for students without equitable access. With overwhelming generosity, we were thrilled to surpass our fundraising goal, and were able to donate 50 guitars, cases, and tuners to schools throughout Kentucky including Bryan Station, Henry County, Western High, and Doss.
AFTER SCHOOL GUITAR
Through LGS, the Youth Performing Arts School Guitar Program has fostered an after-school program with Noe Middle School. For the past few years, students of Noe Middle school have learned foundations of classical guitar playing, performance and pedagogy, with the instruction of Michael Kagan and students of the YPAS Guitar Program.
TICKETS FOR GOOD
Partnering with other guitar societies and local non-profit organizations, we have provided free virtual concerts, with the option for viewers to donate to our partnering non-profit organizations.
